Alexander McQueen.
Yesterday I found out that Lee McQueen had passed away. I thought I would share some of my favourite McQueen related image/videos in tribute.

I love these shoes. They remind me of Alien / The chicken bone gun in eXistenZ.

Wardrobe Wednesday…
I've been meaning to take photos of the contents of my handbag for some time now after being inspired by certain Flickr pools such as "What's in your bag?" and "What's REALLY in your bag?". I finally got round to taking such photo's last night. I may do my DJ bag in a future post.

If you click on the links you'll be taken to the individual Flickr pages which has notes over each individual item if you are that nosy you need to know what every single item is.
YooouuuTuuube…
Is a rather nifty (but pretty pointless) website. I only went on it to try and grab a screenshot of the boot's Nic Endo is wearing in the video as I'm going through a bit of a heels phase at the moment and I have major shoe lust. These are the closest I can find which it that price is a bit of a bargain.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Today has been all about M.A.C Cosmetics, especially the launch of their Hello Kitty range. However as a cat owner I'm wondering how many takes it took them to get the cat in the video to walk on the paths. No cat would ever do that in one take.
I do love M.A.C. make up however and it's mostly what I use nowadays. It's not tested on animals (I wouldn't use it otherwise) and I really like their "Back 2 M.A.C" scheme. I've had freebies from it in the past and I must have at least another 2 lipsticks worth of empties to take back. Methinks I need to try and aquire some Hello Kitty make up at some point soon.
Haute Macabre is a totally inspiring blog that's made me want to pick my jaw off the floor on the few occasions that I've read it too. I need to thank the ladies behind it for showing me such delights as this DIY shirt which I'm dying to have a crack at and also this purse. It's currently one of my favourite blogs on the internet.
And finally. The wait is over. Watchmen has finally been released at the cinemas. I made a vow a few weeks ago saying that if this film was a dissappointment then that was "graphic novels turned films" and I over with for good. I've got my cinema ticket booked for the first showing. I'm a big Alan Moore fan so I dearly hope I'll not be disappointed. The fickle silver screen has let me down a few times in the past, mostly because of Halle Berry actually! To this day I still reckon Grace Jones would have made a much better Storm (X-Men) and don't even get me started on Catwoman. They were the two comics I read religiously as a kid (I had subscriptions at Forbidden Planet and everything).
Bling…
I'm a huge fan of Vivienne Westwood. Unfortunatley for me my bank balance isn't but I still try and get the odd bit here and there whenever something *really* catches my eye and I have the cash. In general I'm not that big a jewellery wearer. I wear my knuckle duster pendant more or less every day and that's it, not including the jewellery in my body piercings.
Anyway today whilst checking my email I saw this and I want it. Badly.

It's £190 for a 1GB stick but you can wear it around your neck as well. How's that for designer geek?
T-Shirts…
I read a free local magazine every month called The Crack. I like it because instead of concentrating on what the chavs and trendies like, it has an almost indie edge to it and features local bands, art workshops, shops and websites. Quite a while ago it featured a small article on a clothing company called the Passarella Death Squad and I've just found the url that I'd wrote down and I have a sneaky feeling I'm going to be £50 out of pocket soon as I want 2 of their (rather rude) t-shirts (mostly the "Je viens du Palais des péchés" in white and the "Joven Y Harta" in black).

Another clothing designer who I'm a big fan of is Carey Haider who runs Blacktooth. I own a few of his shirts and I can't get enough of them. I've worn my gun t-shirt to death and I wish I bought more of them at the time.
